The Academic Software Initiative (ASI) program
ensures that SUNY is at the forefront in the utilization of software to
enhance academic instruction and research of the University.
The following is a brief description of each software program offered at this time. We ask that you carefully consider these offerings and the benefits of participation.
ESRI: ESRI geographic information systems software is widely used across disciplines and across SUNY campuses. Participation in this program provides a campus with licensing for all campus-owned and operated machines, as well as faculty, staff and student home use.
Minitab: Technical statistical computation software. Participation in this program provides a campus with licensing for all campus-owned and operated machines, as well as faculty, staff and student home use.
Maple: Technical computing and analysis software, including interactive calculation, visualization tools, and a complete programming environment. Participation in this program provides a campus with licensing for all campus-owned and operated machines, as well as faculty, staff and student home use.
Mathematica: Technical computing and analysis software, including interactive calculation, visualization tools, and a complete programming environment. Participation in this program provides a campus with licensing for all campus-owned and operated academic machines (faculty, academic staff, and lab computers), as well as faculty, academic staff and student home use.
